Heartcode ACLS cerification class is a blended-learning course geared toward healthcare workers or related fields.  It is appropriate for both the first-time certification seeker and those needing to renew certification.

Part 1, the cognitive (learning) section, is completed online via a link to the material provided by the American Heart Association.  

After completing part 1, the learner will come to the Simulation Center to complete parts 2 & 3, the practice and testing sections, with an instructor. The in-person portion will take up to 2 hours to complete.

**A minimum deposit of the price for skill checkoff within 24 hours of scheduling is required for all appointments.** Payments can be made here: Shelden Simulation Center AHA Payment.**

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

These courses teach students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. This course is also broken down to teach the very basic needs such as CPR/AED adult training or to allow the student to gain more knowledge in basic first aid and CPR/AED with children and infants by taking a full Heartsaver certification. 

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
